HOmework Plan
S
Language Arts:
Reading: Students should be reading at least 20 minutes every night.
Social Studies and Science: Remember to read those newspapers every day. You can use the paper copy as well as the website. If you click on the Social Studies page on the left of this screen, there is a link to the Studies Weekly website. Also, watching Brainpops and Studyjams video clips will help you with your vocabulary in these subjects.
Math: MULTIPLICATION FACTS!! Please practice basic multiplication facts (1-12) with your child if he/she does not have immediate recall. While skip counting works, our ultimate goal is instant recall. The quicker students are with recall, the easier they will be able to solve more complicated problems which are on the horizon.
Math homework assignments are used to reinforce new skills learned in class and to teach the importance of work ethic and responsibility. Homework is usually given M-Th and counts as a weekly grade that is based on completion/effort and timeliness.
